Ben & Jerry’s

When working on a pitch for a Ben & Jerry’s summer festival experience for their new Greek Yoghurt flavours I decided to go a little unorthodox. The adverts for the Greek Yoghurt flavours featured amazing intricate dioramas where elements of the flavours, like giant strawberries covered in yoghurt to make mountains, created the scene. I decided to create a scale model in the same style of our proposed event which we gave to Ben & Jerry’s during our pitch.

Working with Spotify as an event partner we suggested everyone who attended the festival would receive an RFID bracelet they could preload with their favourite tracks. At the festival they could have a go on our RFID mixing stations to create amazing impromptu mashups with strangers they meet at the decks or sit down at one of our giant shortcake tables with headphones holes to create silent discos where the playlist changes depending on who arrives at the table.

The gamble paid off and our model won us the pitch! Sadly not long after that due to internal problems the budget fell through and the final festival never materialised but I still fondly remember the looks on the brand managers faces when we set the model down in front of them.
